About Vikash
Dr Vikash Makan obtained his MBBCh qualification through the University of Witwatersrand in 2012. Subsequently he completed a Diploma in Anaesthesia (DA) in 2015 through the College of Medicine. Further to this, he completed with distinction a Post-Graduate Diploma and master’s degree in Diabetes through the University of South Wales in the United Kingdom. He is also an active clinical researcher in the field of diabetes and cardio-metabolic diseases. He currently serves as a Principal Investigator, in a large cardiovascular outcome study. He strives to provide ongoing holistic care and management to people living with diabetes in South Africa.
